No Sword Shield Reprints

A number of sources in the US indicate that there may be no significant reprints of the Sword and Shield Pokemon card sets in the next 2-6 months (For Australian release). Whilst detailed information is speculative, we speculate that a focus on printing Scarlet and Violet as well as its associated impacts on printing methods (think yellow verses silver boarders) is the cause. This news may come as a disappointment to collectors and fans looking to complete master sets or sealed collections.

The Sword and Shield sets, which were released in late 2019, have been highly sought after due to their unique game mechanics as well as the introduction of the Trainer Gallary and Aletrnative art card. However, due to the high demand and limited supply, the most popular of these sets have become difficult to obtain, leading to inflated prices on the secondary market.

The lack of reprints in the near future means that players and collectors will have to continue to try their luck in finding these cards through other means, such as trading with other players or purchasing from third-party sellers. It is important to be cautious when buying from these sources, as there have been instances of counterfeiting and overpriced cards.

While it may be frustrating to not have access to reprints of these popular sets, it is important to remember that Pokemon is a collectible card game and scarcity can often drive demand and value. In the meantime, players and collectors can look forward to the release of new sets and themes in the future.
